Shinkiba, the town of wood.

Yumenoshima used to be a landfill of garbage.

In this place filled with people's activities and energy,

We will be holding our third art festival.

Sculptures that appear in the park where you usually play,

Swaying tropical plants, children running around.

An unused lumberyard, piles of lumber,

A town that looks different on weekdays and holidays.

The history of Yumenoshima and the changing scenery of Shinkiba and Tatsumi

Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden


This facility recreates a tropical rainforest jungle in a large glass greenhouse. In this natural, green space, we have created a base for enjoying the art festival, called "Wakuwaku Osanpo Art Lab Ø"! There will be plenty of exhibits, explanations, and recommended spots by this year's participating artists! We will also be holding a "Sanso MAP" project where everyone can make their own, and a Yumenetsu x Millitsuka pop-up exhibition.

Yumenoshima Park

Yumenoshima Park, which used to be a landfill, is lined with outdoor sculptures and installations. While visiting each facility, please enjoy the works that are scattered in the park.

Mitsui Link Lab Shinkiba 2

This is a rare newly built rental laboratory facility in central Tokyo, the second in the Shinkiba area. The extensive shared space makes use of the open feeling of the oceanfront, and features works by artists using recycled materials and the history of Shinkiba. *As this is a rental building, you cannot enter the building from the front entrance.

Wood and Plywood Museum

This is the only museum in the world that collects, preserves, and exhibits a wide range of materials related to wood and plywood. It is a facility that spreads the possibilities of wood, such as preserving the global environment and using wood to make life more comfortable and prosperous. During the exhibition, Ohashi's work will be displayed at the entrance, Watanabe's wood carvings hidden in the museum, and energetic junior high school students' works will be displayed on the 4th floor.

Saito Lumber Co., Ltd.

We directly import lumber from various countries, mainly broadleaf trees from North America and Canada. We are a company that provides high-quality wooden materials through technical cooperation with various parts of the world. Ryosuke Sugi's exquisite wood carvings appear on the wood deck where indigo is usually grown.

Shinkoto Incineration Plant

This is the largest waste incineration plant in Japan. The waste heat is provided as energy to nearby facilities. This year, as a joint project with the Takaido Art Festival 2024 ~Yes in my back yard~, we will be exhibiting an installation work that takes advantage of the location of the waste incineration plant.

The workshop will be held in Shinkiba for two days only.
Come experience playing and creating with wood professionals!
Under the blue sky, a large number of small workshops related to the art festival were crammed together in Yumenoshima Park!
Everyone from children to adults can enjoy an exciting day at the park.
