Yumenetsu x Millitsuka Pop-up Exhibition

Starting Wednesday, September 18, 2024, we will be holding the "Yumenetu x millitsuka Pop-up Exhibition" in collaboration with illustrator millitsuka as a related project to the "Shin-Kiba & Yumenoshima Exciting Walking Art Festival 2024."

・・・・・・・・・・・・
Since its opening in 1988, the Tokyo Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Museum has been exhibiting tropical and subtropical plants ecologically and scenically as a facility that widely introduces the relationship between tropical plants and our lives.
In an effort to bring people closer to plants, we regularly hold exhibitions of works in collaboration with artists.

Millitsuka says, "I collect ideal situations and spaces by going for walks, then I take them home and draw them." His works, which seem to bring real-world materials into his paintings and reconstruct them, are colored in gradations and move between concrete and abstract, three-dimensional and two-dimensional, inviting the viewer into a virtual space.

The "Yumenets x Millitsuka Pop-up Exhibition" will feature works that were created by Millitsuka while walking around the Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden. The new yet nostalgic images are the product of Millitsuka's unique imagination, and are fascinating, as if they are drawing out the images of the Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden from the memories of those who have visited.
Please enjoy the dream-like artworks that are just like those seen at the Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden.

As a related project, original goods commemorating the Yumenetsu collaboration will be sold at the shop inside the Botanical Garden, as well as the exhibited works.
Additionally, millitsuka will be performing and selling "Faceless Portraits" at the "Yume no Shima Exciting Workshop" which will be held over two days, October 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun).
Please look forward to it.

<Comment from millitsuka>

I've seen it before but I've never seen it before

You may have seen it once, but it will one day become a hazy memory

I was walking through the botanical gardens, remembering a dream I had on a rather hot night.

Existence is hope, so in fact, there are plants similar to these.

(or animals, or the environment)

Because there is.

It's hope!
